Living costs

The fees at UK universities do not include any charge for accommodation or living expenses, so you will need to have enough money to pay for all of your other expenses, including accommodation, food, clothes, travel, books and entertainment costs.

Medical care, childcare and schools

There are some costs that you will be hoping that you do not need to pay, for example for medical treatment, and others that may only be necessary if you come to the UK with your family, such as childcare.

Transferring money to the UK

If you are an international student, you will need to make arrangements to access your money and funding while you are in the UK. Transferring money is usually fairly straightforward, but each national government will have its own rules about the ways you can transfer money.
