Amy Taylor, Masters in European Business, ESCP Europe
Amy chose the MEB at ESCP Europe because of the practical nature of the course. It has a programme that includes doing a consultancy project, many group presentations and case study work. She also chose it because it involves her studying in London for six months, and then in Paris for six months. She says of the Masters in European Business, ‘I chose to study this course because of the nature of the programme and because I can study in two countries over my year. Having studied something very theoretical (Philosophy) in the past I wanted to study something which was more applicable to everyday business life.’ So far Amy is really enjoying her programme and has just completed a three-day Problem Solving, Decision Making (PSDM) course that teaches students how to make rational decisions with time and data constraints within the group. She says of this element of the MEB, ‘It was very hard work but a lot of fun!’ That this dual-city based programme involves spending six months in London is ideal for Amy, as she hopes to work in London in the future. Amy Taylor, 22, from Birmingham has just started a Masters in European Business (MEB) at ESCP Europe. She is very pleased to have been awarded the £500 Business Bursary from Postgrad Solutions because it will enable her to take advantage of some new experiences concerning her chosen course. She says, ‘Winning the bursary has made a huge difference for me. It has freed up some money for me to take advantage of opportunities I otherwise wouldn’t have otherwise been able to do. For example, I can travel to careers fairs at other campuses of my university, in Paris or Berlin, and meet more companies.’
