Luana chose to come to Britain to study because she was attracted by its traditions, culture and an internationally respected education system. She was particularly drawn to the Political Communication programme that Leeds University has to offer, and had heard great things about the well renowned academic staff at the university.
Commenting on her chosen institution, Luana says, ‘Leeds University has great learning facilities, a well developed and friendly student union and a multicultural environment which is hard to find in Romania.’
The highlights of her first week at the university have been the overall excitement of finally being there, meeting the teachers and getting to know her fellow students. She has particularly enjoyed her first few lectures and familiarising herself with the extensive and well-equipped libraries. In fact her only complaint so far is getting used to the British weather!
