The Times Higher Education magazine has placed Wageningen University, part of Wageningen UR in The Netherlands, in the top 200 of the world's best universities.

Wageningen University also scored well in the QS World University, sharing the 136th place in the category Life Sciences and Medicine.

The council of Taiwan has ranked Wageningen University as second best in the world in agricultural research.

Within its own country of The Netherlands, the educational institute has been ranked the best university in the country for five years in a row by the Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs (a Guide to Higher Education).
