University of Lincoln is holding a postgraduate open day
Luke Stanbridge, UK Student Recruitment Marketing Manager, said: 'Lincoln is undoubtedly a university on the up. The surge in research funding we received last year after the RAE has created a great sense of excitement across the faculties. This Postgraduate Open Day is the ideal opportunity for people thinking about postgraduate study to find out what we have to offer.' Former postgraduate student Will Wilson has just graduated from Lincoln’s MA Urban Design programme. He is now working for an architectural company in his home town of Hull. Will, who secured his job within a month of completing his studies, remembers fondly the many friends from around the globe he made at Lincoln. He says: 'The atmosphere in Lincoln is great and you feel really valued by the University. There’s a real sense of community.' The event is taking place at the University of Lincoln, Brayford Pool campus, Lincoln, LN6 7TS. People thinking about a return to higher education can get a flavour of the courses available at the University of Lincoln at a Postgraduate Open Day on Wednesday 24th February. The event is a chance for potential students to meet face-to-face with academics and students, visit faculties, pick up course information and view the University’s stunning facilities. The University of Lincoln was one of the biggest climbers in national university league tables in 2009. It is riding high after securing a 600% jump in central research funding following the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) – a national survey of university research standards.
