At Glamorgan, we’re proud of our reputation for first-class teaching, applied research, excellent facilities and outstanding academic support. There has never been a better time to be a Glamorgan student and competition for places is growing year on year. We have a thriving postgraduate community of over 3,000 students, studying part-time professional qualifications to full-time research degrees. What’s more, we have a range of courses starting in February and September each year.

These are times of exciting change for us. Many Faculties and Divisions are recognised for their expertise, and our reputation for research is continually growing, which is supported by our excellent outcome in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008.

Investment and support
As part of our commitment to excellence, we are undergoing a £130m investment programme. This has already seen the opening of our ATRiuM campus in Cardiff city centre and a new home for our Law School in a renovated listed building at our Treforest campus.

September 2009 saw health, sport and science students enter new laboratories at the Glyntaff campus, while a new Students’ Union complex will open in September 2010 at Treforest to provide a space for our all our students to study, socialise and relax. Our Aircraft Maintenance Centre, complete with aeroplane, will be ready for September 2010. We are also expanding our sports facilities to create the £3.7m Glamorgan Sport Park which will be used for teaching and Students’ Union matches, as well as community use.
