University of Exeter has over 100 PhD funding awards!

The University of Exeter is offering more than 100 funding awards for PhD students starting their programmes in 2011.

Exeter was ranked 12th in the Times Good University Guide 2011, and is a research-intensive university with a very good reputation.

The University of Exeter is offering PhD funding in science, arts, business, humanities and social science subjects.

The amount of the awards for the academic year 2011/12 vary according to the subject area and range from full studentships covering all fees and a maintenance grant for three years to partial funding.

Professor Robert Van de Noort, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Research says, “We are delighted to be able to offer such a wide range of PhD funding to support the next generation of researchers. We are leaders in cutting-edge science, engineering, mathematics, and medicine research, as well as having a world-class reputation in the humanities and social sciences built up over many years. Our strong interdisciplinary research culture encourages researchers to collaborate on new and exciting initiatives at the interface of science, humanities, arts and social sciences.  We hope these funding awards will help us attract and nurture talented researchers who will go on to make a real impact in extending our knowledge and developing new ideas”.
