University of Derby is expanding its range of art and design postgraduate courses
Starting in January 2011, the School of Art & Design at the University of Derby is expanding its range of postgraduate courses. The purpose of these programmes is to help people working in these fields to further their careers.
The new postgraduate programmes include:
* MA Art and Design: Advanced Practice and Theories (the MA ADAPT course)
* Postgraduate Certificate in Arts Practice
* MA Visual Communication
* MA Still and Moving Image
As a University of Derby student there are opportunities to set up an arts-based business, and apply for a start-up cash bursary of £2,490, and £3,000 worth of business advice and support, through the University’s Enterprise Inc entrepreneurial scheme.
To embark on a postgraduate programme, students will normally need a degree course or equivalent qualification, but direct experience of the subject area can also count towards the University of Derby's entry requirements.
