University of Bolton launches new 'excellence' scholarship
The University of Bolton has launched a new scholarship which is aimed at recruiting and rewarding high calibre students. The aim of the Masters Excellence Scholarship is to attract and reward students with a first class undergraduate honours degree. The value of the award is £1,000 towards tuition fees.
Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Bolton, Professor Rob Campbell, says: "The Masters Excellence Scholarship is another example of the University's dedication to recruiting the best and most able students to Bolton, regardless of their background. If you have the talent and a first-class degree, you will get this scholarship."
The award is available to any full-time UK and EU Masters student studying a taught Masters at the University. However, they must not be receiving any other funding or fee reduction, such as an alumni discount. Other than that, students who meet the academic criteria are eligible for the scholarship, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Professor Campbell continues, "The University of Bolton is dedicated to improving and maintaining the high level of academic standards at this institution. This scholarship is an opportunity for an outstanding student to receive significant support towards their fees. In the current climate of austerity and cuts, this award demonstrates the University's commitment to this goal."
