University of Aberdeen launches massive recruitment campaign

The University of Aberdeen is investing in its intellectual capital, by recruiting up to 100 new academics! The University is encouraging applications from any outstanding scholars especially those who have already achieved international distinction in their particular field.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, Professor Ian Diamond, says “I am delighted that we are in a position to invest in attracting even more of the best scholars to the University of Aberdeen. This is another positive step forward in our ambition to raise us in the ranks of the world’s top universities.”

The University of Aberdeen has been internally restructured and has received a decent funding settlement from the Scottish Government – it is now determined to entice the best academic minds to Scotland!

There are new posts across the University of Aberdeen, particularly in the research areas of Energy, Environmental Sustainability, Health Sciences and the Digital Economy.

New investment will also be targeted at the University of Aberdeen’s mathematical biology research – which brings together maths with biological sciences, computing and engineering – and peace and reconciliation studies. In this field the University of Aberdeen leads pioneering work on conflicts around the world.
