University College Falmouth is a specialist Arts University College offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. UCF’s graduating students have a reputation for excellence in their chosen disciplines. Their achievements reflect the quality of the learning experience, with its first class facilities, high calibre staff, international links and entrepreneurial ethos.

Our Woodlane Campus is set in the sub-tropical gardens of Falmouth, a seaside resort on the south coast of Cornwall. Woodlane houses light and airy studio spaces, graphic design suites equipped with a range of specialist software and an outdoor sculpture canopy.

Tremough Campus, three miles away at Penryn, is now the multi-million-pound hub campus of the combined universities in Cornwall, shared with the University of Exeter.
Facilities at Tremough include a Photography Centre which provides fully-equipped darkrooms for traditional black and white film, colour-managed digital suites complete with professional quality film scanners and the very latest software for digital work.

In the Media Centre, you’ll experience first-hand the technology, disciplines and atmosphere you’ll find when you take up a job in the media. There are fully-equipped TV, recording and radio studios, a newsroom with professional scriptwriting and editing software, 14 industry-standard editing suites, a large stock of cameras and recording equipment, an IT Suite with audio-editing and graphics software, and a 106-seat cinema.

The open-plan layout of the Design Centre encourages staff and students to share ideas and techniques. Workshops have some of the most modern equipment in the country, including computer-aided design and prototyping machinery, a computer-controlled Jacquard loom, and facilities for working in ceramic, glass, wood, metal and other materials.

Following our merger with Dartington College of Arts in September 2010, University College Falmouth is building a brand new, Performance Centre on our Tremough Campus. The new Performance Centre has been carefully designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for Music, Dance and Theatre students.

It’s hard work but it prepares you for what it will be like – I didn’t have any nasty surprises when I started my first proper job.”
