Students explore theories of communication, culture, language and society and their applications in business interactions. The distinctiveness of the programme lies in the focus of the course’s 3 principal components: emphasis on intercultural and communication theories applied to work-related contexts in international business; multi-disciplinary pathways with specialist modules; and research training alongside project management. Employability is a major focus on this course; the work placement module gives students the opportunity to work as an intern as part of the programme. Input is given on employability skills including personal branding and using social media, helping them to go on a placement in the country of their choice.
