The results of the latest International Student Barometer (ISB) show that overall student satisfaction at UWIC rates higher than any other university in Wales and fourth highest in the ISB.
International students from 81 universities, including University of Manchester and Bristol University, were given an opportunity to rate their overall satisfaction with a wide range of areas including:
- learning environment
- support services
- living arrangements
- cultural and social facilities
UWIC ranked top in the whole ISB for satisfaction with accommodation quality and worship facilities. High levels of satisfaction were also recorded for learning support technology and internet access, UWIC’s career service, immigration and visa advice offered by the International Office and the UWIC Rider transport provision.
UWIC ranked second highest in the ISB for satisfaction with cost of living, demonstrating that Cardiff continues to be an attractive study destination offering high standards of living but relatively low cost of living when compared with other cities in the UK.
With results also showing that UWIC’s international students would be more likely than students at any other university in Wales to recommend studying at UWIC to friends and family, the results prove UWIC is a great choice for students wanting to study in the UK.
