UEA is offering funding in social sciences

Fully-funded PhD studentships are being offered by the University of East Anglia's Faculty of Social Sciences.

The studentships are for the 2011 academic year, and will be available for specialist research projects in subject areas ranging from international development, economics, education and lifelong learning and law, to business management, social work and social policy, and psychology.

Neil Ward, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, says: "A PhD studentship is an opportunity to develop advanced research skills in social science, business and economics which are likely to be highly marketable in the years ahead, in both the private and public sectors."

Applicants for the PhD studentships should ensure that their research proposal demonstrates academic excellence in areas relevant to the strategic interests of the school to which they apply.
