Top research engineer award for Cranfield water EngD student
Sean Turner, an EngD Research Engineer based at Cranfield on the STREAM programme, has been awarded the Top Research Engineer prize for his performance during the induction semester of the STREAM EngD programme.
The STREAM programme enables talented researchers to develop their skills and careers while obtaining an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) degree, based at one of the five partner universities - Cranfield University, Imperial College London and the universities of Sheffield, Newcastle, and Exeter.
This award is presented to the Research Engineer who obtains the highest average mark across the five taught masters level modules and the group design project tackled by the students during the three month induction programme. This is the first win for a Cranfield based student.
Sean’s research is aiming to develop and validate a modelling approach for assessing the sustainability of water service asset investments and is sponsored by United Utilities with support from Cranfield supervisor, Professor Paul Jeffrey.
