The University of Glasgow is offering ESRC Studentships in Socio-Legal Studies/Criminology
The University of Glasgow’s School of Law and the School of Social and Political Sciences are pleased to announce the availability of ESRC-funded PhD studentships in Socio-Legal Studies/Criminology beginning in September 2011.
These new studentships are available as part of the new ESRC recognised Scottish Doctoral Training Centre (DTC), which is a major new collaboration between the Scottish universities. There are a total of 65 ESRC studentships per year over 5 years.
ESRC studentships in Socio-Legal Studies/Criminology are available at the Universities of Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Strathclyde. The awards will be shared among the five universities, however applicants should apply directly to the university where they think their research interests are best represented.
The studentships will cover maintenance and fees for UK candidates, or fees only for EU candidates, starting from Autumn 2011.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 3rd May 2011.
