Find out more about studying for a PhD at the University of Edinburgh’s Queen’s Medical Research Institute – home to more than 900 researchers tackling a wide range of diseases at the most fundamental cellular level.
The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine is rated top in the UK for clinical research in the last Research Assessment Exercise, and prides itself on being an interdisciplinary research centre where basic scientists and clinicians work together to translate research into patient benefit.
There is a variety of activities available and potential students will be able to:
· Learn about future PhD opportunities at the Institute’s research centres; the Centre for Cardiovascular Science, the Centre for Reproductive Biology and the MRC Centre for Inflammation Research
· Meet PhD supervisors and current PhD students and postdocs
· Celebrate research with short talks from each Head of Centre, and poster presentations by current PhD students and postdocs
· Hear keynote speaker, Professor Clare Lloyd, talk about “A Career in Science”
All biological science, medicine and veterinary medicine undergraduates and graduates are welcome to attend.
