Teaching and learning at Aberystwyth University ranks with the best in the UK, according to the Times Higher Education’s Student Experience Survey which was published today on Thursday 14th January 2010. Aberystwyth University is placed 4th in the survey’s Top 10 for Teaching and Learning table – after Oxford (1), Cambridge (2) and St Andrews (3).
The poll also shows that Aberystwyth University offers the best all-round student experience in Wales, with an overall ranking of 6th across the UK.
Aberystwyth University also made it in into the top ten for providing students with the best facilities, ranking 9th across the UK.
Professoor Martin Jones, Pro Vice Chancellor at Aberystwyth University says: 'We are delighted that Aberystwyth University has maintained its position at the top of the table for the best student experience in Wales. We are also pleased that students have ranked us 4th across the UK, based on their experience of teaching and learning at Aberystwyth. These results are testament to the quality of teaching here and the professionalism, dedication and commitment of our staff.'
Professor Jones continued, 'Today’s Times Higher Education survey is the latest in a series of polls which have placed Aberystwyth among the top ten universities in the UK for providing the best student experience.
