Reduce carbon emissions and improve business performance with new MBA from the University of East Anglia

The University of East Anglia’s new London base is hosting an opening evening to provide more information on its pioneering new Strategic Carbon Management Master of Business Administration (MBA) course on 2nd September.

Whilst the course originally began in 2007, the new modular concept based in London, near to Liverpool Street Station, is being aimed at business leaders and managers to help them reduce their carbon footprint and improve efficiency.  The MBA combines research and teaching from a number of departments and includes links to UEA’s School of Environmental Science, a world leading research institute in environmental science and its societal impacts.

“An increasing number of companies are starting to recognise that climate change and the need for a global low-carbon life-style will be major factors that shape the global economy during this century.

“To many businesses and organisations this creates both significant risks to their current operations as well as opportunities for new products and services. By bringing this programme to London – the world’s carbon capital – we are maximising the opportunity for organisations to meet these challenges and to ensure that future business leaders are equipped with a robust business knowledge and a holistic understanding of climate change,” said Dr Gideon Middleton, the course director.

Current students and staff will be on hand during the open evening giving prospective applicants the opportunity to find out more about the MBA.  The evening will run from 6pm until 8pm.
