These days most universities have at least one official Facebook group along with a YouTube channel and the odd Twitter feed. Students are quite adept at using social media to find out more about the institutions that they may be interesting in studying at. It's a great way of getting connected with current students and staff and can really help to give you a feel for what it would be like to study in a particular department or faculty.
