Newman University College launches online MA in Colonial and Postcolonial LiteratureNewman University College, Birmingham is launching a new online Masters in Colonial and Postcolonial Literature. This exciting new programme is delivered entirely on-line, with scheduled live discussion seminars, forums, email tutorials and chat rooms. The purpose of the online MA Colonial and Postcolnial Literature is to allow students to participate in literary study, and enjoy all the stimulation that postgraduate studies bring, whilst remaining in employment. The MA Colonial and Postcolonial Literature will be delivered part-time over two years. This course offers students the opportunity to explore a wide range of literature from the early colonial periods through to contemporary writing in formerly colonised areas and Diasporas. It will enable students to consider colonial and postcolonial literature from a range of countries, periods and literary approaches and as manifested in a wide range of genres. These include seminal texts of the colonial period up to 1800, nineteenth-century literature of Empire, and modern and contemporary postcolonial literature.
