New student advice centre in Wolverhampton

The University of Wolverhampton officially opened a new student advice centre on Thursday 11th March. The opening of the centre - known as The Gateway - was celebrated by staff and students alike, and staff served pizza and pastries throughout the day, while helping stiudnets fill in various funding forms.

The Gateway centre is located in a prominent shop-front location at Wolverhampton City Campus. It is intended that it will offer support for both potential students and current students, providing them with information about finances, applications, courses and university life.

Advice will be provided via face-to-face appointments, a phone call or online support.

Jon Elsmore, Dean of Students at the University of Wolverhampton, says: “We are committed to providing individual advice and guidance to enable people to make the right decisions about their choice of course, based on their own needs and circumstances. We can advise about all the different financial support which people may be entitled to once they are a student at Wolverhampton, and can help people complete applications where necessary.”

To contact The Gateway, call 01902 321032 or email gateway@wlv.ac.uk
