New collaborative MAs at the School of Humanities, King's College London

King's College LondonTwo new collaborative degrees are now available at the School of Humanities, King's College London. Both are accepting applicants who want to start an MA in autumn 2008, and already have generated great interest in the College's graduate community. The two degrees are an MA in Early Modern English: Text & Transmission, and an MA in 18th-Century Studies.

MA Early Modern English: Text & Transmission
This new MA programme marks the beginning of an innovative and exciting partnership between the Department of English Language & Literature at King’s and the British Library. It offers students the unique opportunity to study early modern literary texts, not only in light of recent critical and literary approaches, but also as material artefacts, with a unique focus on the transmission of key early modern literary texts. Visit the King's website for further information.

MA 18th-Century Studies
This new MA in 18th-Century Studies draws upon the skills of scholars from eight departments in the School of Humanities, alongside those of senior staff at the British Museum. Students will study constructions of the Enlightenment, then and now, through frameworks such as race, gender, class, intellectual networks and material culture, and analyse ideas, objects, texts and arts of the eighteenth century. They will also have unrivalled access to British Museum collections, galleries and print rooms. You can find out more about this programme from the King's website.

The School of Humanities at King's is recognised internationally for its research and graduate teaching. The School has a thriving research community, with over 800 students studying for taught and research postgraduate degrees and over 150 staff. Visit the School's website to find out more.
