MSc Applied Actuarial Science at Kent offers exemptions from new subjects

University of Kent logoThe School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science at University of Kent is very pleased to announce that the accreditation agreement between the University and the UK Actuarial Profession has been extended to cover the following of the Profession’s subjects at the Specialist Technical level:

  • ST7: General Insurance Reserving and Capital Modelling
  • ST8: General Insurance Pricing
  • ST9: Enterprise Risk Management

In addition to these new subjects, the MSc programme offers exemptions from the following:

Core Applications:

  • CA1: Actuarial Risk Management
  • CA3: Communications

Specialist Technical:

  • ST2: Life Insurance
  • ST4: Pensions and Other Benefits
  • ST5: Finance and Investment A
  • ST6: Finance and Investment B

In addition, we also offer training in CA2 (Modelling) and teach the widely-used actuarial software, PROPHET.

All actuarial science programmes at Kent are accredited by the UK Actuarial Profession. The award of accreditation reflects the high quality and standards of teaching maintained by the School, together with a clear commitment to developing innovative approaches within the programmes.
