King's principal honoured for leadership in higher education
Professor Trainor has won the Leadership Award from the European sector of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The awards ceremony took place at the British Academy on the 15th June, and Professor Trainor was applauded for his ‘vision and drive’, both on behalf of King’s College London and the entire higher education sector. This award honours leaders who promote and support ‘advancement’ in education by creating a vision and inspiring others with their ambition. It is aimed at those who establish a positive image for their institution while leading it to higher levels of success, increase their institution's stature in the community and encourage innovation and risk-taking among employees. CASE announced that, "Under Professor Trainor’s leadership advancement at King’s has gone from strength to strength." Professor Trainor said he was honoured to receive the award on behalf of staff engaged in diverse fundraising, communications, outreach and marketing functions across King's College London. He said, "This recognition reflects the hard work of so many colleagues, as well as the wonderful support we are receiving from alumni and friends."
