King’s College London has new funding opportunities for international students

The Graduate School at King’s College London has announced a number of new or significantly altered studentships for those considering studying for a PhD or Masters at the College.

The King’s International Studentships, which are funded by the King’s College London, have had their value increased to £10,000 per year for students beginning their studies in October 2010. Students from any country outside the EU are eligible for these PhD studentships.

King’s has also signed an agreement with the Andalusian regional government for Talentia Excellence Grants - these provide funding for study at PhD or Masters level. To be eligible for one of the grants in 2010, students must be resident or have been born in the Andalusia region of Spain and be citizens of a European member state.

The grants consist of university fees and an ample living allowance. Awards are available for the following fields: Management and Marketing; Computing, Maths and IT; Engineering; Humanities; Medicine, Dentistry and Health; Pure and Applied Science; and Social Sciences.

Professor Vaughan Robinson, Director of the Graduate School, says, ‘As one of the world’s leading universities, King’s is keen to attract the very best postgraduate students from around the world to our research community, and we are delighted to be able to offer these new scholarships, which will help to make that possible.’
