Five-star success for Edge Hill University

Edge Hill University logoEdge Hill University has received a five-star rating from its own students.

According to the Virgin 2010 Alternative Guide to British Universities, students judged Edge Hill staff as being the most 'helpful and interested' in the North West of England, with the University also gaining a four-star rating in the 'small tuition groups' category.

Edge Hill was given the highest regional rating in a week that has also seen the University's ranking in The Times University Guide improve by an impressive 10 places, including a top 20 rating for 'student satisfaction'.

The Virgin 2010 guide looks at all UK institutions and contains students’ views of what it is like to study at a particular university. It includes official ratings for teaching, statistics on graduate employment and job prospects for each course.

The ranking that tutors have been given in this year’s Virgin Universities Guide, placing us alongside Oxford, Cambridge and a small handful of other leading universities, reflects the hard work that staff put in to each and every student.'
