Over the course of an academic year the series comprises up to eight early evening lectures delivered by key business figures and prominent journalists/editors from the FT. The lecture series is open to Leeds University Business School postgraduate students, our alumni and local businesses. The first speaker of the 2009-10 series is Mick Yates, who is responsible for Global Business Development at Dunnhumby, a UK-headquartered international marketing consultancy and services company with corporations in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Mick will be opening this year's FT Masterclass Series by speaking about how using customer insight can drive better business decisions in all aspects of a company's operations, illustrated with case studies and success stories from retailers such as Tesco.
