Aberystwyth University has been awarded funding to support a new Graduate Learning Scheme.
The funds will assist graduates who are domiciled in Wales to enhance their employability by acquiring additional skills and gaining new or further qualifications.
The Graduate Learning Scheme supports 75% of the costs of courses up to a maximum course value of £6,500.
A limited number of places are available to UK and EU citizens who are graduates resident in Wales and unemployed, who are seeking to undertake post-graduate level study or to take a second degree for further training.
The scheme is available from September 2009 to December 2010 and will provide funding to the end of the September 2010 academic year. Where the course of study finishes outside the funding term, students will be required to source other funding or self-finance the remainder of the course.
Aberystwyth University also offers a number of scholarships and funds for postgraduate studies including a Graduate Discount Scheme.
