Edge Hill has been shortlisted for UK University of the Year
Vice-Chancellor of Edge Hill University, Dr John Cater, says, "To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award for the third time against stiff competition from across the country is an achievement in itself and reflects how far the University has come over the last few years. We provide an outstanding student experience with a strong focus on employability and this is consistently reflected in our continued success in league tables, awards and student feedback. Not one to rest on our laurels we're constantly striving to improve even further. This year alone we've completed building a new £15 million Student Hub to provide better facilities for our students and staff. Together with a growing range of applied research projects that make a difference, I think we make an excellent contender for this year's award." This is the third time that Edge Hill has been shortlisted for University of the Year after being nominated in 2007 and 2010. Edge Hill University is competing against five other institutions - Dundee, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton and Sussex universities. The winner of the 2011 award will be announced on Thursday 24th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Find out more about postgraduate study at Edge Hill University.
