Cranfield motorsport student meets Lewis Hamilton!

A student on Cranfield University’s motorsport programme was given the opportunity to question the 2008 Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, at a question and answer session organised by Santander Universities UK.

Sosanna Ni Dhubhain, is a student on Cranfield University's MSc Motorsport Engineering and Management programme, and was invited to attend the special Q&A session with the racing driver through the Santander Universities programme, of which Cranfield University is a member.

Sosanna says, “It was very exciting meeting Lewis Hamilton. I’d asked him about the relationship between driver and engineer. He was very thorough in answering the questions and I was very impressed by the technical detail he went into. It was a very informative day and I was very impressed with the effort put in by both Santander and Lewis Hamilton.”

Cranfield University's MSc Motorsport Engineering and Management programme has been developed in conjunction with the international motorsport sector. The programme has a steering committee which includes leading figures in motorsport. Students of the MSc programme have gone on to work at companies such as Williams F1, McLaren Racing, Ferrari, Red Bull Technology, Renault F1, M-Sport, Prodrive and Xtrac.
