Cranfield hosts graduation celebration
Some students also were also awarded an additional prize to acknowledge outstanding effort and performance. The prize winners were congratulated in a separate ceremony following a lunch and gathering for graduates, their friends and family and Cranfield Health Faculty. One of the prize winners was PhD graduate Yildiz Uludag who won Cranfield's most prestigious award for the most outstanding doctoral student of the year. At this ceremony Cranfield University also bestowed honorary degrees on eight industry and business figures. Cranfield Health awarded their honorary degree to Dr John Casey from Unilever. Dr Casey is responsible for Unilever’s global research programme in the biology fields in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia. Cranfield University health graduates celebrated their postgraduate success on a Graduation Day on the 8th June. At the official ceremony Baroness Young of Old Scone, the University’s Chancellor awarded postgraduate degrees to 127 Masters and Research graduates.
