The School of Applied Sciences focuses on fundamental research and its application in the areas of manufacturing, materials, natural resources and sustainable systems to meet the needs of industry and society. Cranfield University has developed a number of new courses including a new Master of Design (MDes) in Design and Innovation for Sustainability, building on our leading research in design through the Centre for Competitive Creative Design (C4D), the MSc Sustainable Manufacturing and the MSc in Ultra Precision and Nanoengineering.
