City University London appoints new Director of Careers and Skills Development Service
Mr Argent brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked as the Business Operations Manager at the Association of Graduate Recruiters for several years. He says, "I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to lead the Career and Skills Development Service at City University London. This is an exciting time to be joining the higher education sector given the considerable changes that we will see over the coming years and I believe that City has the opportunity to be at the leading edge of this change. "The new landscape of student fees and the challenging graduate job market will mean that students will be even more focused on the need to develop their employability skills, while not losing sight of the importance of a qualification which is founded on high academic standards. "My experience of the graduate recruitment industry will help us to position City as a university of choice for graduate recruiters, building strong links across the sectors and making the University an institution which is a pleasure to do business with for graduate employers large and small."
