Birmingham City University Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment Open DayStart: Friday 18th June 2010 at 10:00
The Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment at Birmingham City University is hosting two open days on Friday 18th June and Saturday 19th June from 10am-4pm. The open days will take place at the Millennium Point Campus in Birmingham city centre. The Faculty offers courses from architectural technology to computer games technology to television technology production. Visitors will be able to view a pedal car designed by students that was built for a special edition of channel Five’s The Gadget Show, play on a games console and watch robotic ‘mice’ manoeuvre round a specially constructed maze. There will also be the chance for prospective students to view the Faculty’s forensic computing lab facilities, and the cutting edge film, TV and sound studios. The open days give prospective students the opportunity to find out what Birmingham City University has to offer and to take part in campus tours. Lyn Holder, Head of Outreach and Enquiry Management, says, 'Our Open Days are a great way for potential students to gain an understanding of what we do at the University.' For further information about Birmingham City University’s Open Days, please call 0121 331 5595 or visit www.bcu.ac.uk where you can register to attend.
