Dr Fotios Pasiouras, Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Bath School of Management, was recently chosen as a Highly Commended Award Winner at the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009 for his paper entitled “Consolidation in the Greek banking industry: Which banks are acquired?”
Dr Pasiouras co-authored his paper with Professor Constantin Zopounidis, Director of the Financial Engineering Laboratory of Technical University of Crete (TUC), and it was published in Managerial Finance (2008, Vol.34, No.3, pp.198-213).

I have been working with Constantin for many years and I visit regularly the Financial Engineering Laboratory of TUC, a centre of excellence whose members publish in international renowned journals, to work on joint projects and plan future research. We have a number of co-authored papers in the pipeline and I hope that we will receive similar awards in the future” said Dr Pasiouras.
